WHY I BUILT CAREER DISCOVERY

Career advice usually comes in one of two shapes. Either it helps you look inward and find your own answers, or it tells you what the market wants and where to aim. I think a good career decision needs both. So I built Career Discovery to do exactly that: it combines the depth of coaching with the expertise of consulting, built on 20 years of watching how careers actually progress for real people in real organisations.

You stay in the driver’s seat.

But you don’t have to find the road alone.

REAL PEOPLE. REAL FEEDBACK.

See what people are saying.

Career Discovery helped me bring structure to my career and life priorities, clarify my direction, and rethink how I position myself in my job search.

It helped me make sense of my current situation and become much more specific about how I present my experience. Afterwards, I created two versions of my CV for the roles I am targeting now.

I found myself thinking about my career in a much more personal and meaningful way than I expected.

Each question built naturally on what I had already shared and took the reflection further, without ever feeling repetitive or intrusive. The reports and Career Directions gave me a lot to reflect on afterwards and helped me see more clearly what I wanted to explore next.

AMAnna M.P&O Manager, Denmark
What I found most valuable was how the process took a lot of thoughts I already had and turned them into a much clearer structure. It helped me see which directions felt strongest and most realistic.

For me, the value is in the reflection. You answer the questions, see what resonates, challenge what does not, add more context and refine the picture. It gives you a much clearer view of where and how you could move next.

Natalia StraussNatalia StraussContract Manager, Cadeler, Denmark
The questions were highly relevant to my own situation and helped reflect on my career in a more structured, meaningful way.

Going through it also made me think about the many career conversations I had as a leader. I would have loved to offer a tool like this to people in my team to help them explore how they could grow and develop their careers.

Signe KarlssonSigne KarlssonStrategy & Business Development Head, Denmark
I was impressed with the quality and questions in Career Discovery.

I see particular value for people who are shaping their direction, considering a change or re-entering the market. It would give them a really structured way to think through what comes next. The follow-up questions were thoughtful, relevant and built naturally on my answers, and the end result was impressive.

As a student interested in politics, I felt inexperienced and lost looking at the job market before finding Career Discovery.

I now feel hopeful and confident in what career direction is the best fit for me, and the practical next steps to land a role in my dream field!

What a great process! It made me look at the bigger picture - not just my work experience, but also what matters to me, what I want more of, and what fits my life.

The outcome is really useful as prep before a development conversation with a manager. It gives concrete items to reflect on before sitting down and talking about career aspirations and next steps.

Ekaterina GrinkoEkaterina GrinkoBusiness Innovation Lead, Novo Nordisk, France
I felt like I was speaking to a coach who truly listens, adapts and interacts with me. The whole process was smooth, highly tailored and relevant to my needs.

The career directions were incredibly relevant. They reflected exactly what I had already been thinking about, while also suggesting new opportunities I hadn’t considered before. Reflection questions helped me go deeper into the options rather than just reading a list of possibilities.

SDSimon D.Senior Commercial Leader
I wish I had completed this earlier. I have changed my career search strategy based on Career Discovery and was invited for a job interview almost immediately.

The Future Priorities questions made me stop and think seriously about what kind of career would fit the life I want, rather than only focusing on the next role. I also realised that some of my expectations about what I wanted from both my career and my life were simply not realistic at the same time.

APAlex P.Senior Leader, U.K.
I have never seen a tool like this before, especially in a corporate environment. I could really see the value of using it in organisations.

It took me about 1,5 hours to complete the whole process. I highly recommend to not stop on Career Directions report and explore the optional Reflections & Next Steps. It helped to crystallise my final career direction and I can easily use some of the wording towards my CV and LinkedIn positioning.

BUILT BY A HUMAN, DELIVERED WITH AI

Built by an expert in people,
careers and organisations.

Career Discovery™ was created by Anna Soelberg, drawing on 20+ years of international experience across People & Culture, HR, leadership, organisational development, transformation, career development and coaching, including leading global people development.

The methodology brings together experience of developing people at both an individual and organisational level, with a deep understanding of how careers, strengths, ambitions and life priorities intersect.

It is the same thinking Anna uses in coaching and in company work: start with who you are, understand what matters now, and only then look at where your career could go.

Structured methodology. Human understanding.

Anna Soelberg

Generative AI is how the methodology reaches you: it adapts every question to your career history, answers and priorities, so the outcome is shaped around you rather than delivered as a standard assessment.

For managers and organisations

Help your people navigate what comes next.

Give employees a structured, private way to understand their strengths, priorities and realistic career directions before development, mobility or career conversations - without expecting managers to have all the answers.
